AcreTrader yhtiö ostaa maata maanviljelijöiltä tai yhdessä heidän kanssaan ja siirtää omistusoikeuden maanomistajalta yksityiselle osakeyhtiölle. Loput osakkeet näistä kiinteistöistä myydään sitten yleisölle. Monissa tapauksissa entiset maanomistajat tai heidän vuokralaisensa voivat jatkaa maan käyttöä ja ryhtyä osakkeenomistajiksi omistajien sijasta, samalla kun he saavat käyttöönsä sijoittajien keräämän rahoituksen. Mikäli mahdollista, osakkeenomistajat saavat osuuden kyseisen maatalouskiinteistön vuosittaisesta voitosta. Tämä säilyttää maan arvon, mikä kasvattaa tilan arvoa. Maa-alueen myynnistä saadut voitot jaetaan osakkeenomistajien kesken myyntihetkellä. Maanomistaja menettää siis omistusoikeuden maahan ja se siirtyy osakkeenomistajille.

Metsäsijoitukset

Metsäsijoittaminen on kannattava vaihtoehto. On hyvä hajauttaa sijoitussalkkua, mikä parantaa usein sijoitussalkun riskin ja tuoton suhdetta. Pohjoismainen rahastonhoitaja Evil fund Management uskoo, että inflaation nousu ja mahdollinen taantuma voisi suosia metsäsijoituksia.
