There is enough demand
Kysyntää riittää
The interest of tourists and foreigners in the Spanish housing market is only growing, and interest rates reported by the European Central Bank are factors that affect housing prices as a whole. Demand is increasing, so prices with it, at least do not fall.
The picture below shows how much housing prices have risen and the average price per square meter.

New building permits
More than 100,000 building permits were granted throughout Spain, about the same amount as in 2022. Besides the capital, the most important areas to build new houses will soon be Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Córdoba, Vizcaya, Sevilla, Badajoz, Málaga, Cadiz, and Balearians. In the short and medium term, the supply of housing is not expected to increase. Currently, there are not enough suitable land and the construction industry to support the new supply development.
